Abysmal parking situation. Very nice main dining room for family gatherings. I attended a baby shower upstairs. Only one server working entire party, so patience was needed! Very weird bathroom placement; right behind hostess station. Only two stalls for entire restaurant. Not at all wheelchair friendly. Salmon made my stomach a bit queasy for remainder of day.
Held an after funeral affair here. Overall good place. I had the stew, with I loved. Small amount of others weren't happy with their meals. Staff very attentive and helpful.
The food here is just okay. This is a restaurant/bar that's filled with people 50+. It is a good time, okay food. I've gotten only a beer or soda from here so I cannot speak on how their mixed drinks are. I've come here and been at the bar and also as a group in the restaurant area. The waitress did a phenomenal job catering to each of our 10 needs/orders and was timely and efficient.
A beautiful restaurant and bar. Nice atmosphere, really liked the color schemes. I'm tired of battery operated flames, and was impressed by their hurricane candles. We both ordered from the prix fixe menu, and both meals were plentiful portions of quality food.
Great place to have lunch or grab a cocktail. The pre-fix menu has a decent selection and good value for the money. Our waitress was friendly. The service about average. It's a nice place to catch up with friends or date night. Was fairly crowded for lunch. Get there early.
This is a clearly popular place with local people. The service was as if we all were family. What a terrific place for a baby shower! By the time we left around 4 p.m., the rest of the place was enjoying some brisk, convivial business. As a side note, on a very chilly day last spring, I was waiting for my cab to arrive to take me to a wedding at Gatsby's on Jones Beach. Someone from the place called me over from where I was standing by the Wantagh LIRR station. The waiting room was locked. He told me to wait inside until my cab arrived, which was very generous of him. I am sure to go back another time for lunch, dinner and drinks.
The pup style restaurant was very loud and the reception area was confusing. There was no place to wait except a loud bar with an enormous TV. When I didn’t want to sit by the noisy kitchen door I was told I would have to wait another 3 hours for a table bc they had no other. Then they showed me another spot outside which was even noisier so I took the previous table after I was told “I wasn’t going to win this one”
I told her I didn’t know I was at war. (My daughter has sensory issues and cannot tolerate loud noises.)
It took 2 hours and 50 minutes to have soup or salad, an entree and a dessert which she couldn’t bother telling us what our three choices were. We had to look at the menu and, again, wait for her return. The waitress never brought us our bill. We got up and stood by the cashier waiting to pay. When she finally showed up she said oh! Didn’t I give it to you?
I gave her 20% of the subtotal which was far too generous.
Wasthe food good?
Yes, but certainly not worth the aggravation of waiting for everything including water, bread, cutlery and everything other thing described and being ignored by the entire waitstaff
Been there several times. Food is good with a lot of choices. Prices are reasonable in this post-pandemic world. A little unhappy with service at this visit. They were having a private party upstairs so a lot of the staff were rushing up & back, running around. We ate in, but ordered take-out for family members who were unable to join us. We waited a very, very long time for it to come. Just wanted to leave, but had to wait & wait & wait some more. O
